Terms of Service

Effective November 3, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and My Books Done Quickly (“we”, “us”) for using the software at mybooksdoneslowly.com (the “service”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

What the service is

My Books Done Quickly is bookkeeping software: it records transactions, reconciles bank statements, tracks invoices and bills, and produces financial reports from what you enter. It is a tool, not an accountant. We do not provide accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice, and reports are only as accurate as the data you put in.

Your account

• You must give accurate information and keep your password private. You are responsible for everything done under your account.
• Each workspace has admins who approve people, set their levels, and decide which companies they can open. Admins are responsible for who they let in.
• Tell us right away at hello@mybooksdoneslowly.com if you think an account has been compromised.

Your data

Your books belong to you. We only use them to run the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export everything at any time. You are responsible for having the right to upload the data you upload, including information about your customers, vendors, and employees.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the service for anything unlawful, including fraud, money laundering, or keeping books you know to be false.
• Do not try to break in, probe, overload, or reverse engineer the service, or access another workspace’s data.
• Do not resell the service or use it to build a competing product.

Bank connections

If you connect a bank, the connection is provided through Plaid and is subject to Plaid’s terms. Imported transactions are suggestions for you to review; you remain responsible for what is posted to your books.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and will give notice of planned downtime where we can, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may add, change, or remove features. If we discontinue the service, we will give you at least 30 days to export your data.

Fees

If and when the service has paid plans, prices and billing terms will be shown before you subscribe. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost profits, tax penalties, or lost data arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where we are organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and notify signed-in admins; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.
